2024 Camp Dates

Staff Training: Jan 26-28 | Session 1: Feb 9-11 | Session 2: Feb 23-25

RYLA Staffing is provided by Rotarian volunteers as well as select RYLA alumni who showed top leadership potential during their time as campers and have continued to exemplify the 8 core leadership traits in their lives and at camp.

RYLA staff member are expected to conduct themselves as professionals, demonstrate the 8 core leadership traits, emulate the RYLArian Creed, and always strive to uphold the RYLA Mission and the Rotary 4-Way Test:

Is it the TRUTH?

Is it FAIR to all concerned?

Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Before applying, here are some things to consider:

  1. If you were a camper or senior facilitator last year, you can apply by invitation only. Please check for an email from our staff coordinator in the fall.
  2. All staff must arrive on time and stay for the full duration of staff training and assigned session(s). Failure to do so may jeopardize your future position on the staff.
  3. Alpha Omegas (AOs) are required to arrive 1 hr earlier than the rest of the staff and should expect to stay about 1 hr after staff and campers are dismissed.
  4. RYLA is hosted at Clements Scout Ranch in Athens, TX. All staff should be prepared to participate in high and low ropes courses outside in winter. Please be sure you are physically fit to participate.
